  Yes — all of our candles are 100% vegan and cruelty-free, made without any animal products or testing.
• Do your candles contain parabens or phthalates?
  Our fragrances are carefully sourced to be free from parabens and phthalates.
• Are your candles safe for people with allergies or sensitivities?
  Our candles are made with soy wax and fragrance oils, and are naturally gluten-free. If you’re sensitive to strong fragrances, we recommend reviewing the scent notes before use. You can also check our Ingredients & Safety Information PDF for a complete list of materials used in every candle.

Use & Safety

• How should I burn my candle for the first time?
  For the best results, let your candle burn until the wax melts evenly across the surface — 2 hours. This prevents tunneling and ensures a long-lasting, even burn.
• How can I prevent my candle from tunneling?
  Always allow the wax to fully pool across the top before extinguishing. Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch and avoid burning longer than 4 hours at a time.
• How do I get the best burn from my Sloan Rose candle?
  Trim your wick before each use, and use long matches to safely light the wick as the candle burns down.
• Is it safe to use Sloan Rose candles around fragrance-sensitive people or pets?
  We use clean ingredients, but candles should be used in well-ventilated spaces. If someone is very sensitive, we recommend testing with shorter burns.

Aesthetic & Scent

• Will the vessel look the same every time?Each vessel is slightly unique due to its upcycled nature, so you can expect small variations that make yours one of a kind.

Care & Reuse

• How do I clean out the candle vessel once it’s finished?
  The easiest way is to pour hot (not boiling) water into the vessel. The remaining wax will melt, rise to the surface, and harden as the water cools. Once solid, you can lift it out and wash the vessel with warm soapy water.Tip: never pour wax directly down the sink to avoid clogging.
• Do you offer a recycling or return program for empty vessels?
  Not yet, but we’re working on it! In the meantime, we encourage you to reuse or repurpose your vessel.
• Is it safe to reuse the vessel?
  Yes — once cleaned, the aluminum vessel can be safely repurposed for non-food uses, like a pen holder, small planter, or decorative catch-all. We don’t recommend using it for food or drink.
• Any tips for repurposing the vessel?
  We love reusing ours as vases, pen holders, or makeup brush cups. The possibilities are endless!

  Yes — you can add gift wrapping and a handwritten note at checkout.
• Can I send a Sloan Rose candle directly as a gift?
  Absolutely! Just enter the recipient’s shipping address at checkout and we’ll take care of the rest.
• Are your candles available in stores or only online?
  For now, Sloan Rose candles are exclusively available online and through select pop-ups.
